By way of introduction, my name is Richard Bartel. I
am an avid Motorcycle & Car Nut. In other words a
certified Gear head. I have been doing Car Shows &
Drag Races for over 16 years now. Mainly through
voluntary work for the club I am a member of (The
Wichita Area Chevelle Owners) and the local
dragstrips. A couple of years ago people were saying I
need to start my own shows. Back in 2009 I worked
for the National Muscle Car Association helping with
their Car Shows in Chicago and North Carolina. It was
then on the plane trip back home that I started
thinking about maybe taking a stab at doing one of my
own events. This is when I came up with the concept
“The Chill”. The 1st year this was a Motorcycle only
event. This was I believe by far the largest indoor
Motorcycle Show that had ever been done here in the
Park City / Wichita, KS area. It was a great turnout. For
the 2nd year I added a Car Show. The numbers were
just staggering. 259 Motorcycles / 258 Cars and
another 100 vehicles on display by the booth venders
themselves. This provided 617 total vehicles on
display for the general public.
As you can tell I have a true passion promoting events
(gear head related). I host several different events
throughout the year. Some of which are my own and
some that I just help volunteer my time. Please check
back often for the latest updates on these events.
